Dr. Khalid H. Ashai |

Specialty: Dr. Ashai is highly trained in non-invasive, invasive and interventional cardiology. He completed his fellowship in general cardiology and interventional cardiology at the University of Minnesota.
During his training he performed more than 500 complex coronary interventions. He is one of the few cardiologists who has the experience of closing the patent foramen ovale (PFO). He was certified in the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1995, American Board of Internal Medicine in the American Board of Internal Medicine in the sub-specialty of interventional cardiology in the year 2003, and is certified in Nuclear Cardiology in the year 2003. |

Dr. Ashai also had research experience at the Mayo Clinic of Rochester and published several papers. During this training he received several honors, awards and citations of merit for his excellent performance.
